CAR RENTAL TERMS and CONDITIONS Valid from November 01, 2006 to October 31, 2007 Normal office hours in all branches throughout the country are 09:00 AM to 07:00 PM Normal hours at the airports are from 06.00 AM to 24.00 PM An airport tax of € 20,00 will be charged by Auto Jardim directly to the clients at the airports of Lisbon and Oporto. At the airport of Faro this tax will be supported by Auto Jardim. Note: For each delivery or collection outside of our normal hours at airports a fee of € 15,00 will be charged directly to the client. Even during normal hours, excluding the Algarve, airports or places where we have offices, a fee of € 0,50 per kilometer will be charged from our nearest office. Baby seats: May be supplied on request. The cost for these will be € 4,50 per day charged directly to the client. Maximum € 63,00 per rental. Passenger insurance: May also be supplied by Auto Jardim. The cost for this will be € 4,00 per day charged directly to the client.Additional driver: For each additional driver mentioned on the rental agreement we will charge €17,00 directly to the client. To be covered by insurance, drivers must be duly mentioned on the rental agreement.Young driver: All drivers between 21 and 25 years of age, must pay directly to Auto Jardim an additional fee of € 3,50 per day. Collecting in advance: We shall not refund, either the client nor the agency involved in the booking, any unused portion of the rental contract. Very important: The client (whether driver or not) is always responsible for a deductible in the amount of €600,00 for groups A, B and C, €1.200,00 for groups D, E, I and J, €1.800,00 for groups F, G, H and N and €2.500,00 for the remaining groups, in case of a self caused accident, in case of damage caused by acts of vandalism, in case of theft of the vehicle or any of its accessories, as long as the driver is unable to identify the guilty party. This payment must be made, on delivery of the car, in cash (Euros or foreign currency) or credit card. The referred payment will be refunded to the client at the end of the rental, in case no accident has taken place, as well as no damage have been caused to the vehicle by acts of vandalism, theft of the vehicle or of any of its accessories. This deposit can be waived upon an Insurance payment of €8,50 per day for groups A,B and C; €10,00 per day for groups D, E, I and J, €15,00 for groups F, G, H and N and €20,00 for the remaining groups. The insurance has to be purchased at time of the car pick-up and is paid directly to the company. In case of accident where our car driver is found at fault (taking in consideration Portuguese laws), the insurance companies decline any or all responsibility for that driver of all damages caused to the hired vehicle or to third parties whenever it is detected that the driver was driving under the influence of alcohol, narcotics, drugs, toxic products or by insanity of the driver. Also if the client uses the car in sport competitions, races, rallies, challenges, contests, bets, etc.Even if the car’s driver is not under the influence of any of the above items but by any means whatsoever destroys our car by his own fault, we shall not refund any amount for the time left to complete the rental. We will only give another car against a large deposit that may cover eventual damages that may be caused to the new car. PLEASE DRIVE CAREFULLY
