| ARTISTIC TOUR OF MADRID Daily

Morning departures at 09:30 hrs. We
start our visit by going to the Prado Museum, home to one of the most important
Painting Galleries in the world, with different painting schools from 12th to
19th. century. Among many others, we will see the works of Zurbarin, Ribera,
el Greco, Tiziano, Velazquez, Murillo and Goya.
Following the visit to the
museum, a city tour through the most important streets, Neptuno and Las Cortes
Square, Alcald Street, Puerta del Sol, to reach the Royal Palace, a beautiful
exponent of the 18th century and one of the best preserved in Europe. Here we
will visit: the Principal staircase, rooms of alabarderos, columns, throne, Gasparini,
Carlos III, porcelains, Gala dining room, museum of silver, musical instruments,
principal courtyard, royal chapel and the new four rooms.
At
the end of the visit, we return to the bus terminal. On
Mondays the Prado Museum will be substituted by EL PARDO Royal Palace which was
used by the Spanish Kings as a residence for resting and holidays during 19th
century, being also the official residence of Franco untill 1975. Actually is
the official residence for Presidents or Prime Ministers coming to Madrid. Indoors
we can admire magnificent collections of paintings, fumitures, and tapestries
of Goya, Bayeu and Teniers s copies. On
official reception days, the Royal Palace will be substituted by El Pardo Palace
or another Museum. |
