This whitewashed
17th Century house is situated on the outskirts of Ponta Delgada
(Livramento), and one kilometer from the
best beaches in the island of São Miguel.
The house was originally built in the seventeenth century and
completely restored in 1983.
Originally a priests residence, the house was a heavan for those
who fled from the Caloura monastery for fear of the attacks by
pirates.
The surrounding lawn and lush vegetation in the gardens are attractive
and very inviting to sit and relax during the day.
If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful holiday in a beautiful
picturesque area, then the Casa Nossa Senhora do Carmo is for
you.
